We made this tour on the day of G. Saturday of 2003. We decided to take advantage of the excellent weather. It was the perfect opportunity for a ride.
We left at 09:00 a.m. from Athanasios Diakos. We left behind us Lamia and we continued to Domokos. This road has too many turns, which fortunately, stop at a point and then follows a long distance with out any turn – up to Karditsa -.
After Karditsa we stopped at the village Nioxwri to rest and drink our coffee….but we didn’t know that there was expecting us a surprise…a village full of over aged men and women who were “enjoying” their coffee… so we left immediately for other place quieter. After having rest for a while we continued to the lake, which was really beautiful. The road net up to Karditsa is good but the tour of the lake is rather difficult. Nevertheless around the lake there are many hotels and centres for athletic activities (cycling, riding, canoe etc.).
